International Energy Forum 2025

19 – 20 Nov10:00 – 15:00
Meet Ullevaal, Sognsveien 77C, 0855 Oslo

This is a NORWEP event

The International Energy Forum (IEF25) is a meeting place for industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers across the global energy sector. Supported by the Norwegian energy industry, trade organizations, and the Norwegian government, the forum brings together decision-makers to exchange knowledge and explore opportunities across oil & gas, renewables, CCUS, hydrogen, and digitalization.

Building on the success of 2021 and 2023, which gathered 1,000+ participants across multiple expert sessions, the International Energy Forum 2025 (IEF25) returns to Oslo with exclusive B2B networking and unparalleled opportunities for knowledge sharing.

Over two days, participants will explore market outlooks, emerging technologies, and project developments – while connecting directly with operators, suppliers, and investors.

In previous editions, senior leaders from Equinor, Chevron, Petronas, Petrobras, and Aker Solutions have shared perspectives on industry trends, technology needs, and global developments. This year, expert speakers and tailored matchmaking will take that legacy even further, creating new opportunities for collaboration and innovation across the energy landscape.

Subsea Technology: Efficiency. Innovation. Transformation.

18 – 18 Nov08:30 – 11:00
Fornebu, Auditorium at Aker Tech House (Akerkvartalet)

The subsea industry is one of Norway’s greatest strengths – and one of the most important areas in which we contribute to the global energy transition.

Norwegian companies have been world leaders in underwater technology and solutions for several decades. Now the industry faces a new chapter: How can this expertise be used to deliver more efficient oil and gas production while also playing a key role in developing low-emission solutions?

Digitalization, standardization, and new forms of collaboration create opportunities for more efficient projects and lower costs. At the same time, subsea technology opens the door to new markets – such as carbon capture and storage (CCS/CCUS) and integrated solutions with offshore wind and other energy sources.

With this seminar, Energy Valley is focusing on:

  • Success stories showing how subsea contributes to lower emissions and more efficient resource utilization.
  • The future outlook: Where will the next subsea success stories come from, and how can Norwegian industry maintain and strengthen its international competitiveness?
  • Cross-industry dialogue: Operators, suppliers, technology companies, and research institutions come together to share experiences and look ahead.

We inspire, challenge, and invite collaboration on the next generation of subsea solutions.

Energi2050-forum

23 – 23 Oct09:30 – 14:00

AI Energy Cluster Webinar – The AI Energy Frontier: Where Norway Can Lead

12 – 12 Sep08:15 – 09:00

Artificial intelligence is opening an ocean of opportunities for the energy sector. While some companies are already exploring pilots and early use cases, the full potential is still largely unknown – and enormous. At the same time, Norway holds a unique advantage: within a relatively small geography, we bring together the full energy ecosystem – from production and infrastructure to technology, academia, finance, and government.

The AI Energy Cluster aims to harness this advantage and turn it into concrete collaboration, innovation, and international positioning. Join us on Friday, September 12, 08:15–09:00 (with optional bonus discussion until 09:30) for a webinar that combines strategic insights with a glimpse into the cluster’s action plan, budget, and expected impacts – provided we secure funding from Innovation Norway.

Panel Conversation – the highlight of the morning

Representatives from four leading companies and our new CEO will discuss why the energy sector needs a dedicated AI initiative, and what kind of collaborative projects could emerge when we join forces:

Panelists:

  • Robert Nyirede (Infinigrid)
  • Erling Aanerud (Green Digital)
  • Patrick Couch (Hewlett Packard Enterprise)
  • Vibeke Østlyngen (Energy Valley)

Program

  • 08:20–08:40 | Panel Conversation: The AI Energy Frontier: Where Norway Can Lead
    – Why does the energy sector need its own AI focus?
    – What collaborative projects can emerge across industry, academia, and technology?
    – How can AI strengthen efficiency, sustainability, and security at the same time?
  • 08:40–08:50 | Presentation of Action Plan, Budget & Expected Impacts (conditional on Innovation Norway funding)
  • 08:50–08:55 | Q&A and closing
  • 09:00–09:30 | Optional bonus discussion

Why attend?

  • Learn how AI Energy Cluster can create real value for members – through collaboration, scaling, and international positioning
  • Gain insight into the action plan, funding model, and membership benefits
  • Join a conversation on how Norway can use its unique energy ecosystem to lead internationally in AI and energy

The webinar is open to everyone who has expressed interest in joining the AI Energy Cluster, as well as new potential participants eager to explore opportunities.
