Event & Marketing Coordinator

Are you experienced with coordinating events, and collaborating with a range of teams, stakeholders, and clients? Do you want to work at the intersection of energy, innovation, and sustainability?

Energy Valley is growing, and we will strengthen our team with an Event & Marketing Coordinator to manage the large number of events hosted yearly, and to play a key role in the development of our future events and conferences.

As Energy Valley’s Event & Marketing Coordinator, you will have a strong presence in our community of 125 members dedicated to delivering the energy transition.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project coordination, execution and management of in-person and virtual events, including but not limited to delegate trips, trade shows, membership meetings and conferences. This includes planning and executing of materials, event budgeting, spending and more.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and involvement of members and partners in planning and executing of events.
  • Obtaining insights and analysing event activities to find patterns and best practices to obtain increased efficiencies.
  • Designing and implementing promotional activities before, during, and after the event to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Develop and implement event marketing strategies to promote events and increase attendance together with the Communication Advisor.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new event ideas and concepts, creating added value for and together with our members and partners.
  • Develop and follow-up on Year Activity Plan, and report on progress.
  • Proactively work to strengthen our member and collaborator relationships and recruiting new.

Qualifications & skills:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree combined with an event and/or marketing background.
  • Experience with project and/or event coordination
  • Excellent client- and project management skills enabling you to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Team player who can collaborate with various teams on a local andglobal level, but also work under your own initiative.
  • Strong sense of initiative, proactivity, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent adaptation skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to think the right workflows to manage large volume of operational tasks to support the event focus.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
  • Experience in using CRM as a tool.

Energy Valley is looking for assistance to deliver the Energy Transition!

Do you have a strong sense of initiative and an eye for details? Do you like to coordinate and collaborate with a range of teams and stakeholders? Are you curious what it is like to plan big events such as ONS and Arendalsuka? Are you interested in the energy transition, and would like to produce compelling content that inspires action and positions the Norwegian industry?

Energy Valley is looking for a student assistant to help us with events, our CRM system, and content production!

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and execution of events. The tasks include everything from collecting prices and solutions to being a co-host at events.
  • Keep our CRM system/membership registers updated.
  • Produce different types of content, such as articles, videoes, and infographics for various platforms.

Qualifications & skills:

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
  • Team player who can also work under your own initiative.
  • Flexible with a strong sense of initiative and proactivity.
  • Excellent writing and video editing skills.
  • Detail-oriented to support the event focus.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
  • Experience with using CRM as a tool is an advantage

To further help us develop our international position and to mobilise the cluster and its members for the vast opportunities within the EU system, we are seeking an EU advisor with good knowledge of EU and Horizon Europe. Apply here!

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and utilize Energy Valley’s extensive network to identify potential partners for collaborative proposals under Horizon Europe, focusing on energy and sustainability projects.
  • Coordinate and actively seek contact with national and European network to postion the cluster and the cluster members.
  • Assist member companies in developing project proposals for Horizon Europe calls relevant to energy and sustainability.
  • Develop project proposals together with the members and partners of Enegy Valley, by establishing strong industry consortias in Norway and finding relevant European partners.
  • Organize and facilitate events and workshops to mobilise the members of the cluster til participate in EU programmes.
  • Share knowledge, experience and insight to other clusters and innovation actors
  • Contribute to Innovation Norway and national bodies to optimize EU announcement and work programmes.

 Qualifications & skills:

  • Relevant education, preferably with a master’s or PhD degree. Knowledge and insight in the energy industry and sustainability.
  • Networking and project management will be important in this position.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in EU project applications and management, with exposure to energy-related projects.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders in EU projects (start-ups, SMEs, academic institutions, global companies).
  • Experience in innovation management, with a focus on energy and sustainability.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Independent, result-driven, and motivated to contribute to Energy Valley’s mission of promoting sustainable energy development.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

The EU Advisor will be part of the Energy Valley team and located in our offices at Fornebu.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project coordination, execution and management of in-person and virtual events, including but not limited to delegate trips, trade shows, membership meetings and road trips. This includes planning and executing of materials, event budgeting, spending and more.
  • Obtaining insights and analysing marketing activities to find patterns and best practices to obtain increased efficiencies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new event ideas and concepts, creating added value for our members and partners.
  • Developing Year Activity Plan, and report on progress.
  • Serve as Energy Valley’s primary point of contact for our members and proactively work to strengthen our relationships.
  • Actively work on recruiting new members to Energy Valley, from identifying potential members to closing new memberships.

Qualifications & skills:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree combined with an event and/or marketing background.
  • 2-3 years’ experience with project and/or event coordination
  • Excellent client- and project management skills enabling you to co-ordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
