The EU ramps up the budget for Horizon Europe

The EUs institutions have come to an agreement on the terms regarding the EU budget of 1824,3 billion euros the next 7 years. After almost ten weeks of negotiations between the EU Parliament and the Council of the European Union, they agreed on a total increase of over 160 billion NOK, whereby 4 billion of these are ear marked for Horizon Europe. This is great news for Energy Valley members!

Horizon Europe is EUs new Reserach and Innovation Programme and will begin January 2021. For our cluster members, the call for proposals connected to global challenges and competitive industry that are especially relevant. In addition, the establishment of the European Innovation Council (EIC) which is directed towards financing small and medium enterprises.
