Society looks to you for solutions

On the top of our national agenda is the need for new jobs in a low emission future. Energy Valleys members are key to the solutions.

Through unlocking new energy sources with technology, Norway has built what I see as our biggest fortune: A highly educated population and our know-how. These resources are found in the companies and organizations that make up Energy Valley.

It is therefore you that the politicians look to, when the seek solutions to their biggest challenge: How to create 250 000 profitable jobs in the private sector by 2030, and at the same time carry out a transition to the low-emission society.

Taking on the position as VP Communications and Marketing in Energy Valley it is my ambition to increase the members stakeholders knowledge of how you can contribute to solving the challenge – and what you need from them to succeed.

The government is currently working on a report to Stortinget on long term value creation from Norwegian energy resources. Energy Valley has participated in the first round of consultation, and you can read our position here.

On the global agenda is the access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. For after all, weather we work to create new jobs in Norway or access to electricity in Tanzania, we all strive to create better solutions to everyday human life. The energy dialogue is therefore relevant to all human beings. With that as a starting point, I believe we can engage stakeholders more widely and secure the room for maneuver that we need to succeed in the energy transition.
