SEB and Energy Valley to partner up!

Combining Energy Valleys’ competence and network in the energy transition with SEB’s financial and industrial expertise will help accelerate the energy transition and grow scale-up companies.
The collaboration will help support the activities in Energy Valley, particularly the innovation accelerator for energy technology – Energy Invented.
SEB sees clear synergies between Energy Invented and SEB’s own pro-bono incubator SEB ScaleCenter. It’s particularly the increased knowledge of energy transformation that SEB and Energy Valley wish to collaborate upon.
Strengthening the cluster eco-system
“We have been impressed for a long time by the results Energy Valley has delivered and are looking forward to working more closely with them. SEB has a long history within sustainable banking and was a facilitator when the World Bank issued the world’s first green bond in 2008, since then we have been a leader within the area of green financing. We assist established companies who want to transform their business in a sustainable direction and contribute to innovation in the energy sector through SEB ScaleCenter,” says John Turesson, Country Manager of SEB in Norway.
“SEB has capital raising as their special area and will be important advisers and potential investors for start-up and growth companies. The partnership with SEB, therefore, strengthens the cluster’s ecosystem. The combination of Energy Valley being an accelerator for start-up and growth companies – and having the most established energy companies as members – means, in my opinion, that we offer the strongest innovation environment for energy technology in Norway,” says Managing Director of Energy Valley, Preben Strøm.
