Open call for R&D driven SMEs – Grants up to 6 million NOK

Just before Christmas the Eurostars programme launched an open call for research driven SMEs. The call is open until February 4th 2021 and is thematically and technologically open.
The Eurostars programme is a joint initiative between the EU Commission and EUREKA and supports small and medium-sized enterprises’ own R&D activities. The innovation must be at a Technological Readiness Level of between 4-6, and up to 50% of the project costs can be covered through the programme. For Norwegian applicants, projects can be supported with up to 6 million NOK, and the funds will be distributed through the Research Council of Norway.
The programme is particularily relevant for those of Energy Valley members who fall under the EU SME definition, use at least 10% of their yearly revenue, or 10% of their full time employees on R&D activities and who develops innovative new products, processes or services. The project themselves should preferably be technically challenging and there must be a high level of innovation involved.
There are a number of requirements for Eurostars-projects, including a minimum of international partners, and how long after the project end the products or services can be introduced into the market. Get in touch with Energy Valleys EU advisor Maja Busch Sevaldsen for a more detailed discussion of the scheme and possibilities for your company.
