Minister of Petroleum and Energy Marte Mjøs Persen is confirmed for the opening of Energy:Connected’21 on the 19th of May.

– We are happy that the minister has accepted our invitation to give her opening remarks for the conference, and look forward to welcoming her, the spring, a reopened society, and all participants in May, says Managing Director Preben Strøm.

Marte Mjøs Persen (b. 1975) was appointed Minister of Petroleum and Energy on 14 October 2021. She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament for the Labour Party from Hordaland county in 2021. Prior to this, she was Mayor of the city of Bergen (2015 – 2021).

Persen has worked as an organizational secretary in the Norwegian Humanist Association and county secretary in No to the EU in the former Hordaland county. She was leader of the Labor Party of Bergen from 2011 – 2015.

The conference has been moved to the 19 – 20 of May due to the Norwegian government’s new regional restrictions for events and mandatory home office regulations, as well as the strong recommendation to reduce the number of personal contacts. If you already have purchased a ticket it will still be valid in May.
