Lukoil joins Subsea Valley

We are pleased to announce that LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf has become a member of Subsea Valley.
LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf is a subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL, one of the largest oil companies in the world with a production of 2.2 million boe per day.
In 2011, LUKOIL became the first Russian company to pre-qualify as an operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The company’s office was opened in Oslo in 2012. Since then, LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf has obtained partnership in three licenses in the Barents Sea – PL 708, PL 719 and PL 858.
LUKOIL has also taken an active role in promoting best practices in Norway’s exploration and production community:
- LUKOIL is a member of joint industry projects aimed at enhancing operations in the Barents Sea – BaSEC, BaSMIN, Arctic and Cold Climate Solutions Network
- A team from LUKOIL participated at the SSV Conference 2017 with a presentation on the company’s approach to securing environmentally responsible operations
- In August 2017, LUKOIL’s Filanovsky project in the Caspian Sea was featured on the national television news in Norway (Norwegian only): https://tv.nrk.no/serie/kveldsnytt/NNFA23081317/13-08-2017#t=05m02s The Filanovsky field is the largest oil discovery in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea. Total proven reserves at Filanovsky are around 1.27 billion boe. The Filanovsky field development makes use of first-rate technical and industrial solutions as well as the latest health, safety and environment measures, which can also be applied in LUKOIL’s future operations on the NCS.
