The seminar will be looking at harvest technology for calanus and trawls of small mesh. This is the fifth of six online seminars arranged by SFI-Harvest. The research area of this seminar looks at modeling the interaction between fish and harvesting equipment, Cost-effective monitoring of harvest species while trawling, and much more. Our partner SFI-Harvest is arranging six different online seminars from September 3rd to the 8th of October 2021. During the six seminars, you will get the chance to dive into the six research areas SFI-Harvest consists of. You will be presented the state-of-the-art knowledge for the R&D activities in SFI Harvest.

 

To establish sustainable value chains for exploiting the abundant resources of the ocean, new knowledge is needed within six research areas (RA).

SFI Harvest’s six research areas include autonomous systems and sensor technology for data collection, ecosystem dynamics, digital decision support, harvest technology and onboard processing, land-based processing, and product development, and fisheries management and sustainable business models.

Each seminar will consist of 2-3 speakers and time for questions and discussion.

24/9 RA5 Processing and product development

1/10 RA4 Harvest technology

8/10 RA6 Governance and sustainable business models

Spoken language will be Norwegian or English, decided by topic, speakers, and participants.
