Autonomy for a Sustainable Future

Technology development is accelerating to meet the future demands of sustainability in shipping and process automation. An important part of this transformational shift is autonomy, and Kongsberg Maritime (KM) is taking a leading role, both with shipping solutions and safety and automation systems within the process industry.

KM is investing in and building the autonomous future, together with its customers and partners. At Oslo Innovation Week, we will present KM’s role in maritime and offshore autonomy: the current status of our technology, our plans for the future, and how we work with partners, customers and legislators.

KM’s next generation control system – which facilitates autonomous functions – is already in place on the Johan Sverdrup installation, and is further used on KM’s vessel autonomy deliveries as well as for process automation. This presentation will give insight into KM’s plan for autonomous technologies and will provide an opportunity for discussion and Q&As: essential for both customers and potential suppliers.
