Energy Valley team ready for action!

Energy Valleys´ administration is strengthened with four employees – ready to accelerate the energy transition.
-The industry is answering the call for action to reach the global net-zero ambition, and the cluster administration is ready to contribute. We have strengthened the team within business development, innovation, public affairs, conference, and communication to take on the task, says managing director Preben Strøm.
This week the team was gathered in Larvik to discuss the strategic direction and make plans for the fall, as well as team-building activities.
In June the team was supplemented by journalist Linea Bancel and event coordinator Johannes Langlo.

– Communicating how the cluster is responding to the call for action in the energy transition is important to position Norwegian energy technology both nationally and globally, and it is important for our framework conditions towards governmental institutions, politicians, and society as a whole. The energy transition is for and about people and their lives, to quote IEA, says Strøm.
With society opening up for social interaction, Energy Valley also steps up its event activities, and the conference Energy: Connected is under planning and scheduled for 8-9th December.

-We are also strengthening our innovation capabilities within Energy Invented, with our partner Cap Gemini. Three new consultants will be providing services for participation in the clusters innovation platform. And every week new companies are moving into Snarøyveien 20 and our co-working space. This is a concrete reflection of the optimism within renewables although there is a lot that needs to fall in place when it comes to regulatory and framework conditions. But we are optimistic in view of the strong political engagement for our industry and the debate on the governments’ proposed report to the parliament.
In August, Daniel Miravalles is joining the team as head of business development to assist the cluster members in finding business opportunities in the energy transition, and a new CFO is also on the way in.
But first: Happy Summar Holidays to all!
