Bringing pioneers and enablers of the global energy transition together

This week UiO, BI, SINTEF, IFE, NCE Smart Energy Markets, the Norwegian Solar Energy Cluster and Energy Valley have signed a declaration with the ambition to further strengthen the eco-system for energy business and technology in the capital region of Norway.
– Collaboration between industry and academic partners is key to enable the energy transition. Our intention is that this declaration will encourage new projects in our region and accelerate the transition towards more sustainable societies, says Preben Strøm Managing director of Energy Valley.

The MOU states ten ambitions and is valid five years from signing. One of the ambitions is “collaboration between both the industry and academic partners on impact of technology and digitalization, sharing of knowledge, new business models and organizational patterns in the energy sector, growth and advancement of sustainable societies as well as value creation.”.
The industry is represented by the three clusters. The MOU also has a clear ambition to promote the regions position as global energy hub, nationally and internationally.
The parties will collaborate to increase network capacities and to build a foundation for advanced collaborative projects between industry and academia by identifying solutions, develop strategies and possible realization of pilot projects.
The agreement on the MOU was made the 22th august, but was not formally signed until this week.
